The Grand Parade is a family-friendly fundraiser walk that helps support local charities who provide essential care and service for aging Canadians. Team up, walk, and fundraise with us on Saturday, September 21, 2024!
The 3rd Annual Bridges Community Living Grand Parade will begin and end at Parkvale Lodge with this year's walk using the beautiful City of Red Deer trails located just behind Parkvale lodge.
The 2.5 km loop will take you around the trails twice and for those of you who are daily walkers, four times around will get you your 5 km walk in for the day.
There is parking in front of Parkvale Lodge on the west side of the street. (Please note that the parking areas inside will be used for the BBQ and for Team Cheers!) Proceed to the registration area inside Parkvale Lodge's main recreation room and enjoy a coffee and treat sponsored by Tim Horton's and the Twilight Homes Foundation.
There will be two rest stops:
#1 in front of Parkvale Lodge as you make the first turn on the loop of the 2 km walk
#2 at the halfway point of the loop where you can get some sweets and treats to regain your energy!
What a great combination - a beautiful walk in nature supporting seniors in your community finished off by a BBQ Lunch and live music! The meal is sponsored by Sysco Foods and Olymel Red Deer under the watchful eye of the chefs from the Kinsmen Club of Red Deer.
Get your team together, register, and help raise some funds for Bridges Community Living all while have a great day with lots of laughs and lots of fun!!
