About Dundas Manor

The WDMH Foundation was incorporated on December 23, 1993, to raise funds for equipment and capital projects for the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. In 2020, our work expanded to include fundraising for the Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home. We are currently raising funds to build a new home, to replace the existing home.

We’re ready to expand the circle of compassionate care in our communities. We need to build a new Dundas Manor.

Thank you for working with us to build a brand-new home — one with larger resident rooms, accessible spaces, and more privacy. Plus, we will welcome 30 more residents.

The incredible staff at Dundas Manor love caring for your parents, grandparents, siblings, neighbours, and friends. Someday, they might even care for you too. That would be an honour. Our family wants to be here to look after your family.

To make this new home a reality, our community will need to donate $18 million of the total cost. We are well on our way, with over $13.3 million donated so far – thanks to our generous donors! But we still have a long way to go - and by participating in this event, you can help!

Construction has started and is progressing well!

Our community is a place where we do what we can for each other. Here, neighbours are friendly and look out for one another. We share the good and the bad. We believe in looking after our own and caring for the people who built this community. We, as a community, can reach the goal and ensure that the new manor is built soon! The plan is to have construction start this fall!

Our event will raise funds for the Dundas Manor Redevelopment, building a new, safe, spacious home for our wonderful residents and staff.

Thank you for joining us and keeping the magic going. Let’s build the new, safe Dundas Manor, together!
